BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy)

An Apple AirTag on a keychain or a Tile tracker on a TV remote.

Compact battery-powered tags that broadcast continuous Bluetooth signals to nearby receivers or smartphones acting as Crowdsourced Relays. When any stranger's iPhone passes within roughly 30 feet, that iPhone detects the ping, grabs its own GPS location, and securely uploads the coordinates to Apple's cloud network for the AirTag location.

UWB (Ultra-Wideband)
